The Nepali language has a rich collection of colloquial words and phrases. We can noticed when examining the day to day language of the typical Nepalese. I am not connoisseur in slangs but I will try to give you the best. Nepali slang is really good to use but in some way it is very difficult to use and understand. On this blog, I hope to amass many of these vocabularies, together with a brief explanation of them. Here we go, it is funny!!
Warning!
A large amount of the vocabulary was gathered from my own experience and I have applied other written sources to add. I appreciate that some terms are not for widespread exercise and have to ignore these. Yet, many of the following words are used by people because they want to provide a logical sign of the speech. Some words are sensational and violent as we urge to use but it is the natural world of slang. Some words are strictly prohibited to use as official language. Some slang gives the life to the sentence e.g. “Aaja dhaari nalachhari karyalaya janchhu”. Here is the one beautiful example of Nepali slang. Some people say that is brusque when we used it but it is the pure slang. Keep in mind; slang word is very difficult to use in daily life. It brings wrong meaning if you are not well-known in using such a word. We found various meaning of same slang word from terai to Himalayan in our country. We have to use it carefully.
